DESCRIPTION:CAPC\, Inc. is proud to participate in Advocacy Day: DisCo at the Capitol (California Disability Community Advocacy Conference)\, a statewide event where advocates meet in Sacramento to engage directly with legislators to amplify their voices on policies that impact their every day lives. \nHundreds of advocates along with CAPC will march the steps of the Capitol\, where they’ll have a chance to: \n\nMeet directly with legislators\nShare personal stories\nAdvocate to protect vital disability services\nAdvance policies that ensure inclusion\, independence\, and access for all\nKey issues to focus on: affordable housing\, inclusive employment\, and community-based supports\n\nCAPC participants will have an opportunity to represent their community and strengthen their self-advocacy skills. \nThrough advocacy individuals can help shape a more inclusive future.
