SUMMARY:CAPC Self-Advocacy Support Group at the La Mirada Activity Center
DESCRIPTION:This facilitated support group provides a safe\, structured space for individuals with disabilities to build communication\, self-advocacy\, and social skills. \nThrough guided discussion and creative expression activities\, participants will explore topics such as self-identity\, personal strengths\, decision-making\, and goal-setting. \nSessions may include reflective art-based activities\, visual storytelling\, and handson projects that support self expression and confidence while fostering peer connection in a supportive community environment. \nSessions begin every Tuesday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. til June 2nd. \nFor more information and to register\, please call CAPC’s office at (562) 693-8826.
