CAPC, Inc. announces Shauna Epting as new Executive Director

 

Whittier, CA – CAPC, Inc., whose mission is to assist individuals with disabilities live and work independently announced Tuesday November 2, 2021 that Shauna Epting as newest Executive Director. 

 

Shauna comes to CAPC from the YMCA of Greater Whittier where she led as Vice President of Operations. During her tenure, Shauna’s focus was to restructure and reorganize Youth Development, Under her leadership, she was able to increase participation and revenue by 43%. With her extensive experience, Shauna is well known for her fiercely creative visions. Shauna received her B.A. in Sociology from California State University- Fullerton  and holds her California Department of Education, Program Director credential. 

 

“Shauna is the right fit for our organization and we look forward to this next chapter of growth with her leadership skills” stated CAPC Chairman of the Board, Neal Welland. Shauna will be taking over from previous CEO, Carolyn Reggio who had been a part of the organization since 1984 and recently retired. “Replacing a CEO in itself is quite the undertaking. Adding the non profit element who services the special needs community; we knew we had to enlist the help of a professional search firm that specializes in Non profit executive recruitment” stated Yvonne Connolly, CAPC Board Member, “With Shauna’s background and involvement in the Whittier Community, the board felt strongly about bringing her onboard.”

 

CAPC, Inc. empowers individuals with disabilities and works with them to gain employment, assisted living arrangements, and connects them to the community by providing access to transportation, improve their communication and help them pursue higher education and strong relationships. CAPC provides innovative Supported Employment and Supported Living Services for people with disabilities in the greater Whittier and Orange County areas.
