CAPC, Inc. is proud to participate in Advocacy Day: DisCo at the Capitol (California Disability Community Advocacy Conference), a statewide event where advocates meet in Sacramento to engage directly with legislators to amplify their voices on policies that impact their every day lives.

Hundreds of advocates along with CAPC will march the steps of the Capitol, where they’ll have a chance to:

• Meet directly with legislators
• Share personal stories
• Advocate to protect vital disability services
• Advance policies that ensure inclusion, independence, and access for all
• Key issues to focus on: affordable housing, inclusive employment, and community-based supports

CAPC participants will have an opportunity to represent their community and strengthen their self-advocacy skills.

Through advocacy individuals can help shape a more inclusive future.
